Lori Ortega - Board Member

Lori Ortega resides in Staten Island, NY and has been a teacher for 21 years, however, she feels that her most important and fulfilling job is raising her daughter Meghan. Both Lori and Meghan have a PTEN mutation. Lori and her husband Felix are raising their daughter as they manage work, home life, and all of the challenges that come with a PTEN diagnosis. Despite the adversity, Lori chooses life. She is a friend to all who know her and an extraordinary advocate in the PTEN community. Lori finds joy in sharing her families journey at www.beatingcowdens.com. Through this platform, she connects with patients offering them hope, and she is passionate about encouraging others as she teaches the PTEN community how to “Beat Cowdens.” We are thrilled to have Lori as a member of our PTEN Foundation team. Her altruistic compassion for others makes her an excellent PTEN advocate.
