Dr. Emily Pauli - Board Member

Dr. Emily K Pauli is responsible for the scientific oversight, development, and daily operations of the research efforts at CCI. Under the direction of Dr. Pauli, CCI has launched a successful Phase 1 research program that offers cutting edge oncology treatment in North Alabama, making CCI one of the few community cancer centers with a complete clinical research program for drug and diagnostic development. Prior to joining CCI, Dr. Pauli worked as a fellow and senior scientist at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology under the direction of Jim Hudson, then Rick Myers, studying the genomic patterns of complex diseases in effort to find better diagnostics and treatments for human ailments, including cancer. She has over 15 years of experience in research, marketing and business development for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and health-related tools and products aimed at expediting the bench-to-bedside process and improving patient outcomes. Recently, Dr. Pauli formed Peritus BioMedical Solutions, LLC, a consulting firm that provides expertise and education in clinical development. Dr. Pauli is a graduate of Auburn University from the College of Science and Mathematics and the Harrison School of Pharmacy. She is a native of Huntsville, Alabama and a graduate of Lee High School. In her spare time, Emily enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her very spoiled mutt, Zoey Curie.
